Attitudes are basically a reflection of one's values and the norms that a person abides by. These norms and values, in turn, are shaped by the society and the culture a person lives in. Of course a society as well as a culture has a diverse set of attributes within its realm but there are some factors and characteristics that are common amongst the entire culture, those factors that actually hold the culture and the society together. Similarly there are some attitudes that are common throughout a culture and a society. Attitudes are a collective reflection of a person's family values, cultural values, religious values and societal values. On one platform or the other, these factors vary from each other yet on one or the other platform some of these factors harmonize with each other as well, being the prime determinants in chiselling the attitude of individuals and groups linked by some common attributes.
