What Is The Mass Of Carbon Present In The Sample?

A 50.0 g sample of CO2 contains 72.73% oxygen by mass and 27.27% carbon by mass. Calculate the mass of carbon present in the sample.

    27.27% of 50 g is 13.64 g. The mass % is the percentage of the total mass that is attributed to the component of interest.

      For this question you i think you need to use the Mr of the elements to work out the mass.
