hence his expenditure is $3y

so his saving is 4y - 3y = $1y

when saving is $1y the income is = $4y
Annual Income = ($4y/1y) $600

hence his expenditure is $2x

so his saving is 3x-2x = $1x

when saving is $1x the income is = $3x
Annual Income = ($3x/1x)$600
