Why Is My Female Dog Whimpering And Carrying Around Her Toys And Breathing Heavy?
I know she is currently not in her "heat" cycle. She experienced her last cycle about a month ago. Just in the last few days has started crying, whimpering and carrying her toys in her mouth and appears to be breathing heavier.

Bless her. She is having a phantom pregnancy, which is very common in dogs. Just be kind to her, but be careful that she may start "defending" her toys as if they are real puppies, so watch out for this if you have any other pets or small children.
