Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Royal Agricultural Hall is the former name of a building in England. It is located in the district of Islington in the British capital, London. It is a building listed Grade II. The building is now called the Business Design Centre. It is a building that is a popular venue for exhibitions and public displays. It is located on Upper Street in Islington.

The Royal Agricultural Hall opened in the year 1861. However, the date on the clock in the building shows the year 1862 as the year of its inception. It was then one of the largest exhibition halls in the world. The exhibition hall covers a total surface area of approximately 65, 000 square feet, which is about 6, 000 square metres. The nearest tube station to the Business Design Centre is Angel tube station. It hosted the Royal Tournament from its inception in the years 1880 until the early years of the 20th century. When it became too high profile an event to be organised at this venue, the venue was shifted to Olympia. The first Crufts dog show was held here in the year 1891. It was converted to its present use (exhibitions) in the year 1986.
