How Many Stations Are There In Birmingham?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are about four major railway stations in Birmingham. The city's first railway station was Curzon Street Railway station which was built in the 19th century.

The other stations are Birmingham New Street, Birmingham Snow Hill station and Birmingham Moor Street railway station. The Curzon Street Station
acted as the terminus for London and Birmingham Railway and Grand Junction Railway. This station is still now a monumental structure even though it was closed in 1966 due its inaccessible network. It was first opened in 1838 when the first train from London to Birmingham arrived.

The Birmingham New Street station is situated on the heart of the Birmingham city connecting London and north western railway and the Midland Railway.
Birmingham Snow Hill station is a railway station as well as the terminus of Midland Metro tram connecting Wolverhampton.
