First you begin by disassembling the whole real, putting each piece in a particular order in a table preferably one that is not going to be used in a log while. Check all parts for ware and abrasions, replace if necessary. Buy a large can of wd-40 and soak all night. After the soaking part a dremel with a wire brush attachment, buff all parts thoroughly. Wipe them all off. Apply a trace amount of vaseline or grease on geared parts on the inner side of real only. Be sure you fully assemble parts together , as to not lose any one of them.
