Hi, You need to use a mixture of alcohol and peroxide for about two or three weeks till the redness and swelling goes down; then you just wanna make sure you wash it real well in the shower. You might wanna wipe it with peroxide after getting out of the shower for extra safety

Best is rubbing alcohol as it will sterilize. If you don't have handy try some peroxide.

No you cannot use rubbing alcohol, it drys it out and kills off the cells needed for healing. The best think to use is a saline solution, or a mild antibacterial soap. Also use 1/8 a tsp. In a cup of water and put that on your piercing swishing it around for about 7 minutes.
