Pain when you lift things is the most common symptom. An inguinal hernia is located in the groin area, can you feel a lump there? If it just happened it will be about the size of a marble. As time goes by it will enlarge. Go see your doctor and schedule yourself for the operation. The smaller the hernia the easier the recovery. If it's small enough they may even do it under a local instead of general anaesthesia.
