Why Are Operating System Important?

    Operating systems are what run your computer.  Without one, you could turn on the switch, but not much would happen.  There would be no commands telling the computer what do to.  (It's kind of like having a brain.  Without our brains, we aren't alive, are we?)

      OS is the Interface between User and H/W components.
      OS manages all the resources and H/W and S/W

      Every thing is controlled by the OS. OS decides which S/W needs what amount of Memory. What is the priority among the various softwares.

      OS is much more than this
