I have sinus problems every spring and fall. I read about a neti pot that is suppose to clean/rinse out the sinus cavity. Have you tried this method rather than using sinus medicine?
I have never heard of it before but i check around and stumbled on to this .i figured since a picture is worth a thousand words , that a video would be even better. www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8KOsNtpV8w
Hi - I use a neti only when I suspect I might be getting a cold or the first signs of hayfever (or if someone with a cold has sneezed right in front of me - happens a lot in my job!). I use it once in the morning and once in the evening before bed until I forget (symptoms have disappeared). I can't remember when I've had to use it more than 2 days running. I put 2 pinches of salt in the pot with warm (body temp) water to the top. Dissolve the salt (you don't want salt crystals running through your snozzle - it hurts!) then pour the whole pot through one nostril. Finish by blowing hard through your nose to clear it. Then repeat on the other nostril. Don't use plain water because that stings, the salt is important for drawing out impurities. Any problems, please feel free to shout-box me!
