Lice are wingless insects that feed on human blood. Lice are most often from August through November, and they are easily spread through skin to skin contractor by sharing clothes, combs, and bedding.

There are three types of lice, head lice,
    body lice, and public lice.

Head lice contact is the primary way of transmitting head lice. However, they are also transmitted through indirect contact like sharing pillows, hat, carpet and so on.

Unhygienic conditions like not taking bath daily, not wearing washed cloth are the primary reasons for body lice.A direct contact with the person having body lice will transmit body lice.Body lice are mainly seen in people from underdeveloped countries.

Public lice are transmitted by direct sexual contact.

Life cycle of lice has three forms nit, lymph and adult lice.Life of lice is about 30 days.Lice will die if they stay away from human body for more than two days.

For head lice wash hair with vinegar. It will kill all the nits in two days.Apply coconut oil after shampoo and condition.Add ten to fifteen drops of tea oil into shampoo bottle and use it daily.Rub listerine mouth wash.this will kill all lice.

Rub a little neem oil onto the scalp and hair before showering will kill the lice and eggs (do 2 days). Then, put about 5 tear drops of neem oil into any leave-in conditioner. Rub a small amount of the leave-in conditioner in your scalp and hair after you towel dry your hair- every time. You can blow dry or air dry hair as usual (do this until the lice scare is completely over to protect you from reinfestation). Neem oil is organic and safe for humans, but intolerable for lice. They cannot burrow or lay eggs and the eggs cannot mature or hatch. You should be free from the critters in days. You can buy neem oil at any health food store, and I think Target carries it as well. Best of luck
