How Dogs Adapt To Cold Temperatures Better Then Humans?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

It is because they have fur, fur coats that help keep them warm in the winter, and believe it or not, helps them in the summer by preventing sunburn. People on the other hand, though we have hair all over our bodies, have difficulty.  Some animals will roll in mud, like pigs to stay cool or warm as well, elephants, though skin is tough, will often roll in mud to protect from heat.  In some countries, people cover themselves with mud to protect from the sun's heat.  Goes both ways, for heat and for cold

They adapt better because they have extra layer of skin and they have fur to protect them from the cold
