The Detroit Tigers are based in Detroit, Michigan. They are a major League baseball team who are currently American League Champions. Even though they lost to St. Louis Cardinals during the 2006 World Series, they remain the reigning champions of the American league after having defeated Oakland. Their victory margin was four to none. The team is currently owned by the founder of Little Caesars Pizza founder Mike Ilitch. Their team insignia is a black D to a white back ground written calligraphically. Seen from the side the D resembles as if an eye is drawn within it. The team's uniform is white for home games with a black cap and grey for games when on the road. The Detroit Tigers is one of the few teams that still remain in the city they were founded.
