A dentist said my friend needed a root canal but she had no pain in her tooth. Could you need a root canal and not have any pain?

    Yes. Sometimes the infection can be a slight infection and not cause any pain. Also, some people are more tolerant of dental pain than others. So yes, it is possible to need a root canal and have no pain. Your dentist can determine if you really need a root canal by taking x-rays and seeing if the infection has reached the root of the tooth. .

      Personally i think if it's not broke don't fix it. I would wait till it hurts then get it sorted hope this helps
