    There are many different celebrations and festivals held in Croatia in different months of the year. Saint Martin's Day is celebrated at the end of the wine-growing season and many rituals are performed and feasts are arranged for blessing the wine. There are also carnival is celebrated in Croatia very traditionally and just like the old times with all the fireworks, masked balls, plays and other things that are an important part of the carnival. Another celebration is the Rijeka's carnival which is supposed to be one of the most important carnivals in Europe. The Olympics Sailing week is another important celebration considering that sailing is an important characteristic among the locals. There are also many music, film, theater, opera and other festivals held in Croatia.
