If she refuses treatment, it probably means the doctors have informed her of the little chance of surviving so much.  Take this time to cherish and make wonderful memories. So many people die without little notice and we think, if only, you have an opportunity to get rid of the "if onlys" and make the best of the time you have left. It is hard to say how much time, but don't cry and sulk, make the best of the time, do things she would never have dared to do.  Let her have a second childhood as so many have missed opportunity.  They go so fast and all we feel is guilt.  Make everyday a birthday. Like it says in the bible, eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you may die.  I know this is heavy thoughts. But enjoy and cherish all the time you have left.

Sorry about your mom. My wife  age 57 was diagnosed in July 08.She had the colon resection and  3 days every 2 weeks of chemo. We were told with stage4  that 30 months was about all we should expect. However, there is always hope. Unfortunately it did spread to her lungs and she passed this May. Without the treatments, she was told 3-4 months. She tolerated the treatments well and I am so glad for the extra time we had. Please enjoy your time together.
