Do Solar Panels Require Much Looking After?

Answer Question

No. Solar systems vary in type but all are fairly low maintenance. Liquid has to circulate through the system and this is usually achieved by means of  a small pump similar in type to that used on most central heating systems. These are very reliable and do not require annual maintenance. They can be powered by photovoltaic cells or by electricity from the mains and have few moving parts to fail. Modern solar panles have a typical life expectancy of twenty years or more. That's almost twice the lifespan of the normal doemstic gas boiler. Every installer will provide instructions for any aftercare. For obvious reasons a build up of dirt on the panels should be avoided and it is wise to check the levels of fluids in the system from time to time. However, many installers say this rarely requires follow-up action.

I don't think so because these types of energy sources don't need any kind of repair or maintenance for a long time after deployment!
