What Is The British Show?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The British Show is a cultural festival being organized from February 9 to 11, 2007, in the Canadian city of Hamilton. The festival aims to introduce various aspects of British culture, television and the arts to Canadian audiences. The three day festival allows participants to purchase products imported from the UK, taste British cuisine and listen to music from the UK. Businesses are also permitted to rent booths and tables in order to exhibit products of special interest to people who have a fascination with the UK and British culture.

Participants also get to meet with famous British celebrities who visit the festival. The special guest for 2007 is British actor Johnny Briggs. Briggs starred in Coronation Street for thirty years as Mike Baldwin.

The British Show also has a fairly strong Scottish influence. Participants will have the chance to listen to a number of Scottish bagpipe performances and meet with Scottish actress Joyce Falconer.

Hamilton is about a one hour drive from Toronto.
