Does Anybody Feel Like The Same Like Me?

I suppose it is all a matter of how you look at it.
I believe we do give to blurtit, by being here and answering questions.

Blurtit has business's that advertise on site which brings in revenue.
If there were no one here to answer questions, then there would be no blurtit. To me, it is a give and receive situation.
I do however believe that we should thank them for the privilege of using their site to make friends, by adhering to their rules, thanking them every time they make changes or fix a problem that pertains to us blurters, and for setting up the site so that we can communicate with each other.

They do deserve something but what and how is the big question!!!

We can help advertising blurtit in our area by Words of mouth, by distributing self-made pamphlets. In this way more and more people will Join blurtit and blurtit will become more popular community over net and will gain more points and thus more advertisements, more business and more profit. And, here is it we thanked them in "PROFIT" for giving us this forum

Opinion of charity is good If blurtit can set-up that department. But then It will require blurtit effort for them and extra supervision and extra expenses and If charity becomes less then blurtit will have to bear the extra cost, resulting in their lower profits and they might discontinue it.

Tamarind spoke my mind. Blurtit is already earning because of our presence and our answering. I think right now blurtit needs to give us something by exchanging our points. Had we not answered in a good way people might not have come here and blurtit might not have earned revenues because of all the advertising.

I'm all for giving to a charity if I know that 100% is going to that charity. Blurtit staff would have to give of their time to run it and then they would lose money they could have made by doing what they are already doing, getting advertising, and helping us with technical problems. If Blurtit asked us to give a donation to a charity that gets 100% of the money I would agree with you if I felt the charity was worthy. I am grateful to the Blurtit team for all that they do for us. This is there job and they get paid for it. Peace

I already give to a charity that helps build fresh water wells for the people over in the sudan/africa and a charity that feeds them also. I just wish they could help them start up their own support systems the world has the ability to give them wind/solar power for their homes and the ability to give them homes and with electric would come the ability to converse with the world over the net. And with electric they could have refrigeration for storing food for longer periods and electric pumping stations for irrigation for even more crops to sell and more crops for their personal use. They could even learn how to maintain the systems given to them to give them jobs pretty soon they would have a whole new job infrastructure and it could keep building on itself with a little help and learning. Now I'm thinking of giving to a charity that helps the Jewish immigrants return to their homeland of Israel from all over the world. I think it's called modal OH/or the international fellowship of Christians and Jews. Sorry for blurting out a ton of stuff later

I love Blurtit and I feel like that I should thank them for creating this wonderful site. I think that your charity idea isn't bad. I have donated a lot of money to charity and I feel that Blurtit should be included.

Ya that's a great idea!!!!One more way of charity---the best deed for a human.This thought is very good and i think people should contact the blurtit team for this valuable suggestion.But someone said correct here that people from all over the world cannot do this here.....---it's a difficult way....but its a correct phrase----where there is a will,there is a way,,,we'll soon find a way for that....i appreciate Skyadamini for this upcoming idea of charity..

I should really appreciate you for your such a thoughtful thought.......we should contact the blurtit team........charity is the best idea one can think off....cause  the one of the best deeds in the world is helping others ..and i  know its difficult but if the blurtit team can make such a wonderful website then this is not a big issue in front of them ......I'm sure they will think of a solution to this....

Wow nice idea, but implementation should also be there with the help of this site's moderators or staff

I used to give money to a few charities and at one time..donated an old car as well..as had been asked in a campaign here in Massachusetts.

Now..I give of my time and find it more beneficial to me on a deeply personal level.

There is a website I was just told about that allows you to not only give of your time...but in exchange you can get discounts on food. Clothing etc...

Kind of a cool idea...but for me I volunteer to work with animals simply to feed my soul.

Perhaps Skyadami could start  a group on giving. This way we could all share our favorite charities and how to become involved without asking the Burtit team to have to regulate and control a revenue stream.

Just a thought. But a great question !

I need to think about this for a day or two.  I do agree that we should thank blurtit in some way, but we have to all be in this together and do something different than usual...I'll get back to ya in a day or two.

I do feel very grateful for the staff here on Blurtit. I also have a desire to be charitable to people who have fallen on hard times. I am not certain what I could do for the staff; I have told them how I feel. I do advertise the sight to everyone I know who has a computer, and if I have a tip that i think would be helpful to them, I do let them know. If we started a charity, I would like maybe to adopt Children by proxy, like some  of the organizations do. All together we might be able to help a village or medical clinic in Africa or some of the other troubled places.

Yes that's a great idea. Instead of asking the staff to do it, we can create on our own and keep a link here or ask for permission of blurtit staff. How is the idea
