Build a studio in your garage and make some CDs. Send them around, see if anyone likes them.

Okaay so, you need to make a press kit or demo package. With a 2 or 3 songs on a CD, a band bio, a black and white band picture and contact info. You then have to find record labels that support your kind of music and send your demo there. For example, if you have a alternative rock sound then don't send your demo to a record label that supports rap music. You might want to set up a myspace as well, send your demo cds/press kit to radio stations aswell. :] goodluck
