Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Niacin, which is also recognized as nicotinic acid or vitamin B3, is basically a water soluble vitamin. This vitamin plays a very significant role in energy metabolism in the living cell and DNA repair, due to its contents such as NADH, NAD, NAD+, and NADP.

Niacin also plays a very significant role in the making of a number of sex and stress-related hormones, especially those which come up wit the help of adrenal glands. It also helps in removing toxic as well as damaging chemicals from the body. In terms of industrial use this acid reacts with haemoglobin and myoglobin in meat to structure a brilliantly coloured compound, and thus has been used as a food preservative, characteristically to perk up.
