Where Is St. Albans?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

St Albans lies to the North of London, around 35 km north. It is an urban area in South Central England. It lies within the city and district of St Albans.

St Albans boast the greatest density of pubs in England and claims, though the claim is contended, the oldest pub in England as well, "Ye Olde Fighting Cocks". It also boasts the highest average residential property prices in all of England. This is partly due to the connectivity that St Albans enjoys. It has easy access to England by train and a number of motorways converge nearby giving easy access to London and the Northern regions.

Traditionally St Albans was a prosperous town that lied on the Roman Road that led to the North.

The Cathedral and Abbey Church is perhaps the most worth visiting along with the Abbey Gateway, the Roman Theatre, the Clock tower and Kingsbury Watermill.
