Do A Health Inspector Let People Keep Their Restaurant Based On How Clean The Restaurant Is?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

No a health inspector cannot take away your restaurant. They can however close it for business. Their job is to assure public health and safety codes are met satisfactorily, if they are not met then an owner is given a citation. If the problem is not handled then a fine may be added as well, and if the infraction is severe enough or is not done in a timely fashion then they may close the business until proof of completion is provided.
