This Question Is Answered:
How do I get rid of my three weeks old kittens diarhia?
My baby kitten has the runs. I gave her solid soft food and have been giving her milk replacer. Now she has the runs. How do I help her to have hard bowel movements. Please help.

Kittens don't have solid bowel movements until they start eating solids, they are not supposed to eat solids until 6 weeks or older.

Keep feeding the kitten milk from a bottle until then. And do this several times a day. The bowels are supposed to be clear with a little discoloration in it, this is normal.

When the kitten does start to eat solids, then you need to take it to the litter box several times a day as well, and be patient, it takes some kittens longer to pick up on what they're supposed to do in there. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I have had different experiences with kittens. First no mushy food. Cow's milk will cause this problem, in severity, the vet can offer kitten formula. Also worms cause the runs real bad, work with the formula and when there older, definatley get them wormed. Good fortune
