In order to prepare delicious walnuts pastry you will require preparing two separate ingredients. First is to prepare the pastry and the second is the filling. To prepare the Pastry the essential ingredients are 1/2 cup butter, 2 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 cup milk and 2 eggs, beaten. To start with use a large bowl, cut the butter into the flour, salt and baking powder. Then create a well like field in the bowl and pour in the milk and eggs. Then stir all the ingredients together thoroughly and gather it into a ball. Next divide the entire mixture into 3 equal pieces and shape it into a big ball. Cover it with a plastic sheet and refrigerate it for an hour.
The second part is to prepare the filling. For the filling you require 6 tablespoons ground walnuts, 1/4 cup chopped seedless golden raisins, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg (optional), ( mix together all these ingredients into a bowl and keep it aside), 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 egg and 1 tablespoon water. To start with take out one ball of dough at a time from the refrigerator and roll out on a flippantly floured surface into a ring around 10 or 11 inches in diameter. Cut it into 8 wedge-shaped pieces. Brush each frivolously with the melted butter. Dust generously and consistently with the filling, leaving 1 inch of dough exposed at the tip. Roll up each wedge to the point. Bend into a semi-circular shape and put the point side downward on an ungreased baking sheet. Do again the whole process with the remaining two balls of dough. Beat the egg along with the water and brush the tops of the crescents with the combination. Bake it at a temperature of 375F for 25 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
