My Husband Had An Affair With My Sister For 5 Years While Living In My House. I Kicked Her Out. Now She Is Telling People It Was Rape. Can I Sue Her For Slander? In Utah How Is Slander Defined By The Law?

I would like her to admit that she had this affair with my husband, instead of crying rape. I know it was not rape because the affair started before she moved into my house.

It's not Slander... The term you want to sue her for is "Defamation of Character" she is ruining someone's life by making false accusations, and that is grounds for suing someone. Hope that helps.

No you can't sue her if anyone has a case its your husband. You are being defamed in this situation

No, her husband is being defamed, but as the family (his family) is suffering as a result, she may indeed be able to sue. It certainly makes more sense for the husband to sue however.
