Sony PlayStation 3 is planned to be released on November 11, 2006. PlayStation 3 better know as PS3 is the name given to Sony's seventh generation Era of video game console, which is going to be the third edition of the PlayStation series. Its former versions were also known as PlayStation and PlayStation 2.
It will be competing against Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii. Its official release date has been set for November 11, 2006 in Japan and will release on November 17, 2006 in other places like United States and Canada.
Sony's preliminary strategy for PS3 will be based on two different configurations detailed by Sony in a press release. The "Premium" version of the PS3 will have a built in 60 GB Serial ATA 2.5" hard disc. Where as the second lower version of the PS3 will have a hard disc of 20 GB.
