More results for: Why Does Active Transport Differ From Osmosis And Diffusion?
0
Osmosis occur spontaneously without the need for energy input because the diffusing species is moving down its chemical gradient. In active transport, molecules are moving up their gradient and ATP (or some other source of energy) must by used (coupled) to allow transport to happen.
