Mableton is the name of a census designated area as well as an unincorporated town situated in Cobb County in the state of Georgia in the United States. Although the town was incorporated on the 19th of August in the year 1912, it was dis-incorporated in the year 1916 on the 17th of August. According to the census conducted in the year 2000, the town housed a total number of 29, 733 inhabitants.

The town is named in honour of Robert Mable, who in the year 1843, on the eleventh of September, purchased around three hundred acres of land. Roy Barnes, former governor of the state of Georgia, is a resident of Mableton.

The momentous structure of Mable House and plantation, situated on Floyd Road towards the north of Clay Road, now consists of an amphitheatre that serves as a venue for town events.
