How Do You Grow Geranium?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

An important thing to keep in mind while growing geraniums is that the genus Geranium comprises 422 species of plants. These can be annual, biennial, as well as perennial plants. There can also be hybrid varieties of the same. Therefore it is important to check with the nursery from where you bought the plant regarding care instructions for your breed.

For instance, broadly Winter Hardy Geraniums can grow in almost any garden soil. However care should be taken that they do not become waterlogged. These plants can be planted either in sun or even in partial shade. Trailing Ivy Leaf Geraniums make great hanging basket, window box or patio tub flowers.
