What Do I Do If My Dog Had 2 Seizures?

Your dog needs to be examined by a veterinarian to see if a cause can be found or if your dog may have epilepsy.  Causes of seizures include toxin, trauma, hypoglycemia, certain tumors, liver disease, and infectious disease.  Depending upon treatment may be curative.  If this is epilepsy then our goal is control not cure.  Your veterinarian will assess if your dog needs to be on anti-convulsants at this time.  I am concerned because your dog has had 2 seizures in a 24 hour period--multiple seizures close together is called a cluster and needs treatment.

Apparently it is common for dogs to have fits. My dog must have been mentally ill, but our friend who we bought him off said one day he will have a fit and he will be fine, he didn't, but my friends dog did have a fit and he was fine. However, my friends pug has got epilepsy and has to be on medication. Ring the vets and the nurse will tell you what to do.

My dog had seizures and I had him adjusted by a dog chiropractor it seems his C1 and C2 we out of place hyperstimulating his brainstem.  see if you can find one and this could save a lot of time $ and problems.
