Feline leukemia is spread by saliva and mucus from one cat to another usually when sharing a food or water dish I would get the cat to the vet. Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feline_leukaemia

For feline leukemia genus of same virus is responsible which is responsible for HIV in humans dear you should immediately go for proper diagnose .The three forms of feline leukemia are chest, abdominal, and multicentric. The signs that the cat shows depend on the lymph nodes and organs involved.
1.Chest symptoms include enlarged chest lymph nodes, compressed windpipe

and esophagus, fluid accumulation in the chest, breathing difficulties,

      coughing, and gagging.
2.In abdominal leukemia, malignant cells may be present in the intestine,

lymph nodes, liver, spleen, or kidney. There may be a decrease in

appetite, depression,, weight loss, dehydration, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, anemia, and jaundice.
3.Multicentric leukemia causes greatly enlarged lymph nodes under the

skin and tumor formation in many organs. The cat may or may not have a

      fever.
but you have not mentioned of any of the symptom mention above may be your cat is simply suffering some sought of eye infection but the disease need to be thoroughly diagnosed

Most likely it's an upper resiratory disease.(like a cold) If the cats are sneezing , too , most likely is. It's like a cold, but comes and goes. But kittens can have other things(get the kitten shots!) Go to the vet! There is a test for Feline Leukemia. It is very serious so don't waste time! There are a number of illnesses cats get that eye infections are a symptom, your vet will know.

I would at least call the vet to find out if the cat needs to be seen. I hope it's just an eye infection. Hope this helps, good luck to you.
