Where Is North Carolina?

North Carolina the state that witnessed the Wright brother's first flight in 1903 is located nearly at the center of the East Coast of the United States. It is bordered by South Carolina to its south, Georgia further to its south east, Tennessee to its west and Virginia to its North. To the east of the state lies the Atlantic Ocean.

North Carolinas textile and furniture industry has suffered tremendously due to competition faced from Asia and Latin America with relation to textiles and China with relation to its furniture manufacturing.  

North Carolina was a slave state and sided with the confederate cause during the American Civil War. It suffered nearly forty thousand casualties and it contributed nearly a hundred and twenty thousand men to the confederate army.  

Currently North Carolina has an estimated 3 percent of Asians residing within its territory. The Asian community is supposed to be the fastest growing one in North Carolina.
