Official figures pertaining to crime in the United States are provided to the local law enforcement agencies in the form of the Uniform Crime Reports which are then forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. These figures are however basically totals for a city aggregated and are not pertaining to areas within the city. The FBI can be contacted to provide these statistics. The Office of the Attorney General also maintains statistical figures relating to crime statistics pertaining to the State of California, Department of Justice.
