That's a fabulous question and I hope a lot of people respond. One thing you can do is contribute to local food shelves and soup kitchens. If a person hasn't eaten in a long time, everything else is secondary. You could help serve meals, but of course the greatest need is food to serve, or money to purchase it. You can also get your family and friends involved. Over the weekend I found Kellogg's cereal on sale for 99 cents, so bought 10 boxes and dropped them off at our local food shelf. You can donate blankets and warm winter clothing if you live in a climate that requires that. Make your family and friends aware of local needs. Write articles for local papers to let people know how they can help, too. Good luck to you and this worthy cause.
