    Carbs should be consumed earlier in the day, as they do provide the body with the most readily available form of energy: Glucose. Having excess glucose levels can result in a conversion of glucose to fat. You stand a much better chance of burning off calories through the day if you eat well before 2 pm, but do maintain a healthy balanced diet at all times.
