Harry S Truman was the 32nd president of USA. He was born in Lamar, Missouri on May 8, 1884. His grandfathers Solomon Young and Anderson Shipp Truman could not decide on what Harry's middle name should be. After arguing over for a perfect middle name, they finally decided there would be no middle name for the child.
Little Harry was given only a middle initial 'S' for his middle name. The 'S' represented Shippe or Solomon, based on which side of the family any one asked for. Thus in reality, the president's full name is Harry S Truman, with no period after S.
