The "perfect shot" used by JJ Reddick and others, is using only one hand to shoot and the other one to support the ball. After you shoot, the shooting hand should be extended completely with the wrist bent, and the supporting hand should not have moved.

Go close in front of the basket, and practice shooting with just your shooting hand, leave the supporting hand at your side. Make sure the ball is rolling over your first two fingers. Try and have good spin and high arc. You'll know you've shot correctly when you swish the ball in the net, and after landing on the ground it rolls back to you.
