How To Build Masonry Fireplace?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are plans relating to building a fireplace available at www.bia.org/pdfs/RumsfordFireplace.pdf. Several firms provide facilities of setting up a fireplace and some even state that they can do so in a matter of minutes. Further and extensive information on fireplaces can be got from www.gobrick.com. The plans mentioned above can be used to build your own masonry fireplace. The plans are for a chimney that exceeds twelve feet in height. A normal chimney should be higher than all other surrounding structures by at least two feet within a radius of ten feet. The plans include the procedure for construction and six detailed drawings of the layout. The materials that will be required along with quantity and material are specified on page two of eight.
