Suitcase, if I'm staying for awhile, a duffel bag, if it's for a night or two.

I love the idea of a backpack and loved traveling with one a few years ago but now i stick to small suitcase (small enough to carry on). Saves my back, and my clothes don't get too trashed during the travel.

Suitcase usually, depending on where I'm going and for how long. It's more organized and it has straps inside to pin the clothes so they don't get messed up, and so many compartments!

It depends on the type of trip. If you plan on going on exciting. I would prefer a backpack. However, if you are going on a more conventional trip, take a suitcase.
