    Gibraltar is a mountainous outcrop located on the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula in South Western Europe; it shares a short boundary with Spain on one side and faces the Straits of Gibraltar on the other side. As such it can be said to be the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea and a border point between Africa and Europe with the coast of Morocco just 15 miles away.

    Since 1713 the islands have been one of the overseas territories of Britain and are home to one of the most important of its naval bases. Gibraltar is also famous as a tourist spot due to its vibrant culture, a blend of Spanish and English flavors, its natural rock formations and caves and flora and fauna which makes holidays Gibraltar an enticing option to consider. Due to its tax free status Gibraltar is a favorite haunt of shoppers and many cruise ships make it a point to make a stop here.
