How Do You Buy Field Hockey Sticks?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The most important consideration to be kept in mind while purchasing a field hockey stick is the fit. However there are several other important factors that influence one's decision to buy a field hockey stick. Hockey sticks are not meant for left-handers, and to hit the ball to the left using the flat face, the stick has to be turned to an angle of 180 degrees. Field hockey sticks have toes that have rounded edges that face to the right. The sticks are made from different materials.

The field hockey stick must have a comfortable grip. While the most ideal sticks are the ones that are made of either ash or mulberry, the most comfortable grips are the ones that are made of either rubber or suede. The stick must be of the right weight. It should neither be too heavy nor too light, but more emphasis must be put on personal comfort. The length of the field hockey stick must also be based on personal comfort.
