"Predator" was okay but it was "just another monster movie". "Alien" though was not "just another E.T. Movie". In 1979 it took the movie world to a place that genre had never been before. It literally shocked the moviegoer. Some people who saw the sneak preview had to get up and walk out because they either got sick or got too scared when the alien popped out of Kane's stomach. Nothing like that scene had ever been done. So many other firsts happened in the movie as well. It was truly ahead of it's time. If you get the chance, get the double-disc DVD and watch the second disc for cast and other interviews and watch how the movie was made. It's pretty amazing. And Segourney Weaver!! Well, i mean, come on!!
