What Did A Medieval Princess Do?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

During medieval times the predicament of a princess was not very healthy and they just serve as an object with which a state can make good relationship with the neighbouring state. So they used to do nothing else but to be at home. If a king had a princess that was quite beautiful the princes of the neighbouring states were attracted by her and with the act of marriage a good relationship can be formed that can be a strategic partnership for the security of the state.

Sometimes the princesses were also given the reign of the country, but that was also there as a figure to show only and not to take the strategic decisions. And most of the times they perform the acts to lure princes. Sometimes they were also taught to get educated but hardly any of the states succeeded in doing so and it has taken very long time for the society to accept the equal state for woman.

A medieval princess was raised only to be married. She was given an education and taught to serve God. They must learn their prayers well. They were also expected to give to charities. Some prncesses eventually became queens.
