How To Mold Cement?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The usual method is to pour the cement mix into a mould made from wooden shuttering. Some modern buildings use polystyrene foam moulds to construct light but strong composite concrete walls with high insulation factor.

Thank you. I am thinking on a much smaller scale. I want a cement-like rod about 1 1/4 inch by 16". Building a mold seems expensive. Could I make a slurry and dip a wooden dowel into it? Would I be able to get adhesion?

    Thanks
