What Happened To Johnny Mathis?

John Royce Mathis born on September 30th, 1935, better known as Johnny Mathis is a popular American music singer. He is regarded as one of the last singers in a long list of traditional male vocalist, who surfaced before the rock era of 1960s.  

Mathis music was mainly based on romantic jazz and pop standards it was mainly for the adult contemporary audience. Initially launching his career with a flurry of singles, Mathis became well-known as an album artist. Many of his LPs received gold and platinum status and around sixty singles made it to the Billboard charts.

He is till date active in the music scene and does concerts on regular basis. Mathis is also quiet for his hobbies like cooking which he learnt from his mother and in the 1970s he released a cookbook.
