Why Is Java Platform Independent?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

    HI
Java raises a slogan "Write once, run anywhere". Java achieved platform independence through the use of Byte Code. When you compile a java program, it compiled into a byte code. This byte code is then interpreted by JVM. Now Every different platform has its own JVM written in java and this JVM can interpret and run any java byte code. So the use of Byte Code and JVM makes java Platform Independent.
