Colombia is located in North West of South America. It is considered as the 26th largest country of the world. It has its borders with Venezuela and Brazil towards the east, Ecuador and Peru towards the south and Caribbean sea towards the north. It also has Panama towards the north western side and Pacific ocean towards the west.
Colombia is basically a democratic republic that has a presidential representative. The President acts as the head of state as well as the head of government. The current President of Colombia is Álvaro Uribe Vélez.
