It's an allergic reactions. My 12 yr old son did this and now he has to have an epi-pen with him at all times in case this happens he can give himself an injection in the leg.
I would go see a doctor about it. It sounds serious when your throat closes from eating that.

It is an allergic reaction. I have the same thing happen from several different foods and have to carry an epi-pen with me everywhere.
You need to have allergy testing done because quite often if you are allergic to some things, there is even more that you are unaware of.
